Qiu Ziyue stood alone beside a blue stone in the Valley of Passion, her gaze fixed on the solitary osmanthus tree in front of her.
The dappled shadows of the trees swayed gently in the cool evening breeze, releasing a delicate fragrance.
She raised her hand to touch her cheek, where the lingering pain from being slapped yesterday still remained.
