Chapter 133 Avoiding Sight, a Thrilling Rescue
Chapter 133 Avoiding Sight, a Thrilling Rescue
Ning Yao parked the car in a secluded corner and groped her way into the unfinished building.
She saw from afar that the kidnappers had taken Old Madam Wen to the third floor, and she also heard the old lady's terrified screams. There were quite a few of them, so Ning Yao was not afraid to force her way up. However, forcing her way up would provoke the kidnappers, and they would probably threaten her with the old lady's life.
The police will soon find the unfinished building, and then Madam Wen will be a hostage in the hands of the kidnappers, facing even greater danger.
Ning Yao carefully climbed up a building near the unfinished construction site and observed the situation of Old Madam Wen from the opposite side.
There were more than just the four or five people in the car; there were also several thugs guarding downstairs, apparently sent by the kidnappers to keep watch.
There were about ten people in total, and there was only one way to go up the three floors of the unfinished building. There were guards on both floors, so it was difficult to avoid their sight.
It was almost lunchtime, so two of the kidnappers went to buy food, three others laughed and went to urinate together, and the rest of the group sat around the table and started playing cards.
Ning Yao saw this as an opportunity and decisively began climbing up the side of the unfinished building without any safety precautions.
During the climb, Ning Yao was almost discovered. In order to conceal her whereabouts, she ignored the excruciating pain of the steel bars piercing her palms, gritted her teeth and changed her position, letting the steel bars pierce her flesh, and finally hid herself.
After the two robbers finished urinating, one of them inexplicably walked to the edge of the floor, looking suspicious.
Another robber raised his hand and slapped the man on the back, asking in confusion, "What are you doing?"
After hearing his companion's question, the robber continued to stare thoughtfully at the outer layer of the unfinished building.
Did you hear anything just now?
"What's that sound? The sound of someone peeing?"
"It was a young woman's voice, it sounded like a muffled groan or a gasp."
"Are you crazy for women? There's only one old woman here, where are the young women?"
"Once this deal is done and we get the money, I'll take you to find some girls and have some fun. I think you've been holding back for too long and are starting to hallucinate."
"Okay, I guess I've really been holding back for too long. I've been so busy lately, I haven't had time for this."
The two robbers' voices faded into the distance, completely unaware that a layer of crumbling plaster had fallen from the unfinished building behind them.
Along with the limestone fragments came bright red blood, which dripped from the sky and fell straight to the ground.
Ning Yao endured the excruciating pain and hung outside the wall for a long time, making sure that the two robbers hadn't found any clues before continuing to climb up after they left.
The gravel along the way scraped against her wounds, and Ning Yao kept a straight face, her lips turning pale from blood loss.
There weren't many places to hold onto on the outer side of the unfinished building. Ning Yao had to work very hard to avoid the robbers' sight and climb to the third floor. After climbing over the outer wall, she didn't have time to treat her wounds. She bent over slightly and leaned against a gray wall, wary of her surroundings.
Old Madam Wen was to her left, sobbing softly, clearly quite frightened.
Ning Yao noticed that there were four other people smoking and playing cards next to Old Madam Wen. These four people were the last line of defense she needed to break through.
Two fists can't fight four hands. She could fight them, but she couldn't protect Madam Wen while fighting. If the robbers realized they were no match for her and pushed Madam Wen off the floor, she wouldn't be able to save her in time.
Ning Yao forced herself to calm down and carefully considered her options.
Just then, a whistle came from the stairwell, and a robber, with one hand in his pocket, swaggered upstairs.
Seeing that the man was thin, about the same size as her, Ning Yao had an idea. Without hesitation, she tiptoed down the corner and followed the robber...
Old Madam Wen was both hungry and thirsty, but the robbers had no kind heart to give her water. She could only watch helplessly as the group of robbers ate, sniffling and sobbing uncontrollably.
Just then, a figure walked up behind her. Madam Wen was startled by the sudden appearance of the person behind her, and her muscles tensed up. However, her mouth was covered, so even though she was frightened, she could not make a sound. Her lips just opened and closed in vain.
"Madam Wen, it's me, Ning Yao."
"Don't be afraid, I'm here to save you. Relax and don't make a sound."
The handsome man behind Madam Wen bent down slightly and whispered an explanation in her ear.
Madam Wen's eyes flickered as she glanced at the robbers eating not far away. They seemed oblivious to anything amiss, continuing to eat and chat loudly about vulgar topics.
Ning Yao ambushed the robber at the corner, knocked him unconscious, stripped him of his clothes and pants, tied him up in a secluded corner, and gagged him. Even if he woke up later, he wouldn't be able to untie the ropes himself and alert the others.
After changing into the robber's clothes, Ning Yao returned to the third floor where the old lady was being held, frowning as she stared at the rope tied in a fisherman's knot.
These robbers were clearly repeat offenders; the ropes were tied very professionally and couldn't be untied in a short time. Unfortunately, Ning Yao had left in a hurry and didn't bring any sharp tools, so she couldn't cut the ropes and could only untie them with her fingers.
A few beads of sweat appeared on the fair forehead of the handsome man, and his movements became more and more skillful. Just as she figured out the knot of the rope and was about to untie it, she was hit on the back with a stick.
Ning Yao's mind went blank, her ears started ringing, her vision blurred, and she finally collapsed to the ground, powerless.
Just before losing consciousness, she vaguely saw a woman's figure flash by at the corner of the stairs.
She recognized the woman's figure; a name flashed through her mind.
"Holy crap, isn't this Brother Xia? Why is he wearing Brother Xia's clothes? Who is this guy?"
"This guy is quite handsome, with a delicate, smooth face..."
"How could a man of unknown origin infiltrate our ranks so quietly? Are you all just sitting around doing nothing?"
"Brother Tie, don't be angry, don't be angry. We didn't keep a close eye on her. But at least we caught her and the old woman wasn't lost."
"Could Brother Xia have already been killed by this person? Should we go and look for him?"
"Damn it, you useless things, you and you, go find that idiot right now and bring him back. I'm going to teach him a lesson."
Ning Yao could vaguely hear the muffled conversations of the robbers around her, as well as the sounds of fighting. She tried her best to move her fingers, but the rest of her body remained completely immobile, and she couldn't make any large movements.
She suffered a severe head injury, but gritted her teeth and used her last bit of consciousness to control the spiritual spring to heal herself and restore her strength.
However, healing with the spiritual spring takes time, and during this time one can only be at the mercy of others and leave it to fate.
When Madam Wen heard that Ning Yao had been knocked to the ground, she looked down at her feet in horror. At that moment, blood was seeping from Ning Yao's fair forehead, flowing down to her neck and leaving several glaring streaks.
"Waaah..." Old Madam Wen was anxious, but with her hands and feet tied to the chair, she could only scream and struggle in vain, unable to do anything else.
