"Then are you a robot?" Xing asked in confusion.
She looked at the black tower and saw that it had many joints.
“No, she’s not a robot,” Himeko said. “It’s just a puppet clone of hers.”
"Oh, I see... It's like Eve's wooden clone, right?" Xing thought about it carefully.
She still remembered the wooden doppelganger Eve left behind in order to shake off March 7th.
Hmm... I want a figurine...
At this moment, Black Tower interjected, "So, the Star Core is now this brat?"
“Kid? You seem to be even smaller than me, right?” Xing stretched out his hand and compared his height with the little black tower figure.
"Hmph, compared to me, you're nothing but a brat," the Black Tower miniature said arrogantly.
“But you’re shorter than me,” Xing said, lifting her leg up and gesturing again.
The little black tower figure sighed, then looked helplessly at Himeko.
Himeko smiled amusedly, then said, "You can't judge a book by its cover, Black Tower. Your body looks much smaller than a star."
“You… I’m different, this brat…” Black Tower said, somewhat exasperated.
“My name is Xing, I’m not a brat,” Xing corrected.
"Okay, okay, Xing."
"Hmph, then I'll have to take a good look," the little black tower man said, pursing his lips.
She pulled out a device from somewhere and scanned Xing's body.
Looking at the data displayed on the panel, the little black tower man couldn't help but exclaim excitedly, "Heh heh, this is truly amazing! In order to contain this unactivated star core and save Azure Star from disaster, I built an entire space station to house it."
"I never expected that someone would actually return to simplicity and manage to do it all with just this brat's body... Hiss, how did they do that?" The little black tower figure looked Xing up and down, his eyes filled with curiosity.
"Furthermore, the star core seems to have been activated, only to be forcibly shut down later. The person who built this defensive barrier is truly a genius; such ingenious calculations..."
The little black tower figure continued fiddling with the instruments, looking at the stars with the same fascination a chicken has for a basketball...
"I don't know who put the star core in there, but I know who suppressed it and forcibly shut it down later," Himeko said seriously.
"Who is it?" The little black tower figure looked at Himeko curiously.
“Miss Eve, your true form just went to see her,” Himeko continued.
“Eve… well, that’s not surprising.” The little black tower figure nodded.
"Speaking of which, why did you go to Miss Eve's place? You two probably didn't know each other before," Himeko asked, puzzled.
“I don’t recognize it. As for why, you’ll have to ask the original body. This puppet is just an AI that has my thought patterns inputted into the system.” The little black tower figure said, spreading his hands.
Himeko's lips twitched. "So, after all this talking, you're telling me you're just an AI?"
"Oh, it's alright. Our chat history has been uploaded to the database. You'll see it when the main body returns," the little black tower figure comforted him.
Himeko was speechless for a moment. "So, the usual requests, are they also handled by your AI?"
“Oh, no, I mostly control the puppets myself,” the little black tower figure continued.
"Sigh..." Himeko sighed helplessly.
"Alright, compared to AI, I'm more concerned about this brat in front of me." The Black Tower figure continued to focus its gaze on Xing.
"This little guy's physique is really strange; it can actually accommodate a star core."
Himeko nodded. "Yes, I was surprised too. This is the second time I've met someone like this."
"A second time?" the little black tower figure asked in confusion. "There was a first time?"
"Yes, it was Miss Eve. She ate a star core when she first boarded the train," Himeko said calmly.
"This..." The little black tower figure fell silent.
"Forget it, let's study the little guy first. He's a very worthwhile subject for research." The little black tower figure took out the instrument again.
"Um...do you guys really have to discuss me to my face?" Xing said speechlessly.
“It’s impolite to talk behind someone’s back.” The little black tower figure continued scanning with the instrument.
"Hey, by the way, this guy isn't exactly the same type as your March 7th guy, is he? Well..."
"What are you going to do?" Himeko asked warily.
The little black tower figure smiled slightly, "Then, can I use her for some research?"
“I can’t make that decision; you’ll have to ask her yourself,” Himeko said, spreading her hands.
"Is it okay?" the little black tower man asked.
Xing thought for a moment, then asked, "How much?"
"Wow, this kid has a good head for business. I'm quite pleased with him." The little black tower man was very satisfied.
Himeko paused for a moment and then said, "Don't bully her too much. Eve seems to have a good relationship with this little guy."
"Oh, I know. I'm interested in this now, so I'm willing to compromise on anything."
"You have a star core inside your body, how interesting! Be grateful! I'm helping you out; this is a service that even the Interstellar Peace Corporation can't get for free," the Black Tower Little Man said arrogantly.
"Uh..." Xing didn't quite understand.
Himeko sighed. "Do you understand now, Hoshi? The Black Tower wants you to stay on her space station."
"Wait, let me ask you something else, was this the AI's decision or yours?" Himeko suddenly asked.
"Oh, what's the difference? It's just one person. I, Black Tower, can afford to support him," the Black Tower dwarf said nonchalantly.
Himeko immediately understood; it was still AI.
