Chapter 2121 - 2122: Purchasing Slaves
Chapter 2121 - 2122: Purchasing Slaves
"Right now we have three kinds of top-of-the-line battleships. First type."A pitch‑black warship appeared in front of Lin Chen. The ship had a streamlined hull, and there were an insane number of cannons mounted all over it.
Pretty much the entire battleship was covered in artillery.
Tok introduced, "This battleship is our most advanced assault ship. Its traits: fast, hard‑hitting. All 108 cannons can fire simultaneously in a short burst. It's the most advanced assault ship on the market right now."
At that moment, a demo video of the warship popped up on the screen.
The ship locked onto its target and then unleashed a full barrage. In no time, the enemy ship was blasted to pieces.
"What a terrifying firepower." Book sucked in a cold breath.
He could tell that if their current battleship ran into this thing, there wouldn't even be a fight. They'd be sunk on the spot.
Lin Chen nodded in satisfaction. "How much for this model?"
Tok said, "This battleship is three hundred million starcoins apiece, but for you, Lin Chen, I'll give you a twenty percent discount."
Lin Chen nodded. "Give me ten of these."
"All right!"
Another battleship appeared in front of Lin Chen.
Different from the last one, this ship looked more like a floating fortress.
The entire hull was wrapped in layers of heavy armor.
Tok continued, "This type is a defensive battleship. It can withstand attacks from a level‑three Stellar‑rank powerhouse."
Lin Chen nodded, satisfied. "I'll take five of this type."
"Okay then, that's twenty battleships total. Originally that would be one hundred eighty million, but for your sake I'll knock off thirty million. One hundred fifty million, how's that?"
Lin Chen chuckled. "Thanks, Manager Tok. Hahaha, since you're being so generous, how about throwing in some extra ammo for me?"
"Uh… Lin Chen, I've already shaved off nearly three hundred million for you in one go, that's the most authority I've got. Selling you these ships, I'm basically not making any profit." Tok said with a troubled look.
"Come on, you're at least making three to four hundred million off me with these ships. Since you're already playing the nice guy, might as well go all the way and toss in some more ammunition." Lin Chen said with a grin.
"You little rascal, you really don't let up. Fine, I'll throw in some more ammo."
"Much appreciated, Manager Tok." Lin Chen laughed.
Tok suddenly asked, "Lin Chen, is your master on this planet? Think you could introduce us sometime?"
After all, anyone would want to make connections with a Universe‑rank powerhouse.
Lin Chen shook his head. "Mr. Tok, it's not that I don't want to help, it's that my master is always the one contacting me. I can't reach out to him on my own."
"So that's how it is. What a shame." Tok sighed.
Tok smiled and said, "Well, this time we can call it making friends. If you need to buy more battleships later, you'd better keep coming to me."
Lin Chen nodded. "Definitely, definitely."
After all, customers like Lin Chen who bought twenty battleships in one go weren't exactly common.
"Oh right, Lin Chen, you bought so many battleships, you must need troops too." Tok suddenly said.
Lin Chen nodded. "Yeah, one reason I came to Planet Duo Le was to buy battleships, the other was to buy manpower."
"Since you're looking to buy slaves, I'll introduce you to a friend."
Lin Chen smiled. "That'd be great. But I want elites. If they're too trashy, I'm not interested."
"Don't worry, the guy I'm introducing you to only deals in very capable slaves." Tok said.
"All the better." Lin Chen nodded.
"Lin Chen, how about this—wait here a bit. I'll call him over right now. His name is Ma Yong." Tok said.
"Sure." Lin Chen smiled.
In Lin Chen's mind, Xiao Shuai spoke up, "Master, this Ma Yong is the biggest slave trader on this planet. He even has Stellar‑rank slaves in his hands."
Lin Chen froze for a moment. "He actually has slaves that strong?"
Xiao Shuai said, "Those slaves were bought or taken from other people. Even though they're Stellar‑rank in strength, they've got chips implanted in their brains, so you don't need to worry about them rebelling. Of course, it's not one hundred percent foolproof—accidents do happen."
"What are slave prices like?" Lin Chen asked.
Xiao Shuai continued, "Based on market rates: Earth Rank slaves go for about a hundred starcoins, Heaven‑rank slaves about ten thousand, Planet‑rank slaves are in the hundreds of thousands. As for Stellar‑rank slaves, those are sky‑high, maybe up to ten million each."
A few minutes later, a bald man walked in from outside.
"Hahaha, Mr. Lin Chen, I hear you're looking to buy slaves. Coming to me, you've come to the right person." the bald man laughed.
Lin Chen said to Ma Yong, "Sir, I want some powerful combat slaves. Don't suppose you've got any?"
"Of course I do. Lin Chen, I've got about a thousand Planet‑rank slaves on hand right now, and nearly ten thousand Heaven‑rank ones. Plus I've got a batch of very fine female slaves, too!" Ma Yong said with a grin.
"Female slaves? I won't be needing those for now." Lin Chen shook his head.
"Haha, right, I forgot—Mr. Lin Chen isn't even an adult yet." Ma Yong laughed.
"All right then, Lin Chen, tell me what your requirements for the slaves are."
Lin Chen thought for a moment. "They have to be strong. The more, the better."
Off to the side, Tok was a little stunned. "Lin Chen, your appetite's a bit big, isn't it? What do you need that many Planet‑rank slaves for?"
"There are plenty of people interested in me right now. Obviously I'm stocking up to protect myself." Lin Chen said, smiling.
Lin Chen added casually, "If you've got Stellar‑rank slaves whose strength checks out, I'll buy those too."
"I've got about five. But Stellar‑rank slaves are going to be a bit pricey." Tok said.
Lin Chen nodded. "Roughly how much?"
Tok replied, "About a hundred million starcoins each."
"What about Planet‑rank slaves?" Lin Chen asked.
"I can probably get you around five thousand." Ma Yong thought for a moment and answered.
Lin Chen nodded. "Ma Yong, I'd prefer these slaves to have relatively clean backgrounds. I don't want any trouble."
Ma Yong laughed. "Don't worry about that. You're my big customer; the slaves I give you will definitely be the best—no hidden problems."
"All right, and what's the price?" Lin Chen asked.
"Since you're buying so many, I'll give you fifty percent off. Fifty thousand starcoins each, how about it?" Ma Yong said.
Lin Chen nodded. "That works, no problem."
Ma Yong then asked, "Mr. Lin Chen, any other requirements for these slaves?"
Lin Chen thought about it. "I'd prefer them to be human, and I want them as soon as possible."
Ma Yong nodded. "Give me one day. I'll have all the slaves delivered to you."
"Good. In that case, let me first take a look at the slaves you have on hand." Lin Chen said.
Since he was buying slaves, Lin Chen had to inspect the goods first.
"No problem, come with me." As he spoke, Ma Yong had Lin Chen and the other two get on his flyer, heading toward one of the moons.
